Broadcast Settings

The Settings tab controls everything a recipient sees in their inbox before they open the email — and when the broadcast leaves your queue.

Broadcast name

Internal-only. Used in the Broadcasts list and in reporting. Recipients never see it.

From name and From address

The From name is the display name (e.g. "Save the Bay"). The From address is built from your org's verified sending domain. When no domain is verified, broadcasts ship from the platform default newsletter@mg.causevox.com.

If your org has multiple verified domains, pick which one to send from per broadcast.

Reply-To

Where replies land when a recipient hits Reply in their inbox. Defaults to your org's primary email but can be overridden per broadcast (helpful for routing replies to a campaign-specific inbox).

Subject and Preheader

  • Subject — the inbox headline. Keep under ~60 characters so it doesn't truncate on mobile.
  • Preheader — the preview snippet that follows the subject in most inboxes. If left blank, mail clients pull the first line of the email body, which is often "View in browser" or a logo alt-tag — set this explicitly for a cleaner preview.

Scheduling

  • Send now — pushes to the queue immediately on send.
  • Schedule — pick a date + time. The broadcast moves to Scheduled status and ships at that exact time. You can cancel a scheduled broadcast any time before the send window opens.

Internal notes

Free-form notes for your team — never sent to recipients. Useful for tracking why a broadcast was sent or what it ties back to.

WARNING

Once a broadcast moves to Sending or Sent, settings are locked. To change anything, duplicate the broadcast and edit the copy.
