Tags
Tag your resources for better organization and filtering. Tags can be organized into groups and scoped to different areas of the platform.
Accessing Tags
- Go to Settings > Organization
- Click Tags in the sidebar
Tag Scopes
Tags are organized by scope, determining where they can be used:
| Scope | Used For |
|---|---|
| CRM | Contacts, households, organizations |
| Resources | Donations, pages, tickets, etc. |
| Revenue | Revenue and expected revenue records |
| Global | Available across all areas |
Use the tabs at the top to switch between scopes.
Creating Tags
- Click Create Tag
- Enter the tag label
- Select a scope (CRM, Resources, Revenue, or Global)
- Optionally assign to a tag group
- Click Save
Editing Tags
- Find the tag in the list
- Click the edit (pencil) icon
- Update the label or group
- Click Save
Deleting Tags
- Find the tag in the list
- Click the delete (trash) icon
- Confirm by typing "DELETE"
Warning: Deleting a tag removes it from all resources that have been tagged with it.
Tag Groups
Organize related tags into groups for easier management and filtering.
Creating a Group
- Click Create Group
- Enter the group name
- Select the scope
- Click Save
Editing a Group
- Click the edit icon next to the group name
- Update the group details
- Click Save
Deleting a Group
- Click the delete icon next to the group name
- Confirm deletion
When a group is deleted, its tags are moved to "Ungrouped" - the tags themselves are not deleted.
Grouped vs Ungrouped
- Grouped tags display with their group name as a prefix
- Ungrouped tags appear in the "Ungrouped" section
