SMS Delivery Status
The Recipient Status tab shows the delivery state of every contact your SMS broadcast was sent to, one row per contact.
Status states
- Queued — accepted into the send queue, not yet handed to the carrier.
- Sent — handed to the upstream SMS provider.
- Delivered — confirmed delivered by the recipient's carrier.
- Failed — carrier rejected the message. The row shows the carrier's reason.
- Opted Out — recipient replied STOP after receiving the message. They will not receive future SMS from your sender.
Filtering
Search by phone number to find a specific recipient. Sort to see the most recent activity first.
Failure reasons
Common reasons that show up on Failed rows:
- Invalid number — not a real mobile phone, or has been disconnected
- Carrier blocked — the upstream carrier rejected the message
- Opted out (pre-existing) — recipient was already opted out before this broadcast was sent
- Region not supported — your number can't deliver to the recipient's country
Exporting
Click Export to download visible rows as CSV. The export respects active filters and search.
WARNING
Once a contact is in Opted Out state, they cannot receive any future SMS from this org's sending number — even if you re-add them to an audience. To re-engage, the contact must opt back in via a separate channel (web sign-up form, etc.).
