SMS Broadcast Overview (Sent)
The Overview tab appears once an SMS broadcast has been sent. SMS engagement metrics are narrower than email — opens are not measurable on SMS, since there's no equivalent of an email tracking pixel.
Stat tiles
- Sent — broadcasts handed to the upstream SMS provider
- Delivered — accepted by the recipient's carrier and confirmed delivered
- Failed — the carrier rejected the message (invalid number, blocked, opted out, etc.)
- Clicks — recipients who clicked a tracked link inside the message (only if the body contained a tracked URL)
TIP
Opens are not tracked on SMS. There's no carrier-level mechanism for it. Use click-through on a tracked link as your engagement signal.
Campaign Details
Read-only snapshot of what was sent: Campaign Name, From Number, total Recipients. This is locked at send time.
Timeline
When the broadcast was created, scheduled (if applicable), and sent.
Failure reasons
Common failure reasons surfaced from the carrier:
- Invalid number — number is not a real mobile phone or has been disconnected
- Opted out — recipient previously replied STOP and is permanently blocked from receiving SMS from your sender
- Carrier blocked — the carrier rejected the message (usually for spam/abuse signals)
- Region not supported — your sending number is not registered to deliver to the recipient's country
For per-contact failure detail, see SMS Delivery Status.
