Solicitors track which individuals are responsible for securing donations. This helps measure fundraiser effectiveness and recognize top performers.

What Are Solicitors?

A solicitor is someone who helped secure a donation:

Board members who asked for gifts
Development staff managing relationships
Volunteers who made asks
Peer-to-peer fundraisers

Adding Solicitors

Open the revenue record
Go to the Manage tab
Click Solicitors in the sidebar
Click Add Solicitor or use Actions > Add Solicitor

Solicitor Fields

Contact - The solicitor (must be a contact)
Role - Their relationship to the gift
Amount - Attributed amount (for reporting)

Multiple Solicitors

A single donation can have multiple solicitors:

Primary solicitor who made the ask
Secondary solicitor who cultivated the relationship
Team members who supported the effort

Reporting

Solicitor data enables:

Performance tracking - Revenue by solicitor
Recognition - Top fundraiser reports
Portfolio management - Donor assignments
