Report Templates

Templates are prebuilt report configurations that give you a head start. Instead of building from scratch, start with a template and customize as needed.

Using Templates

  1. Go to Data > Reports
  2. Click New Report
  3. Select Start from Template
  4. Browse available templates
  5. Click a template to preview it
  6. Click Use Template to create your report

Template Categories

Donor Reports

Customizing Templates

After selecting a template:

Modify Filters

  • Add more conditions
  • Change date ranges
  • Adjust thresholds

Adjust Columns

  • Add fields you need
  • Remove unnecessary columns
  • Reorder output

Save as Your Own

  • Save with a custom name
  • Template becomes your saved report
  • Original template unchanged

Creating Reports from Scratch

If no template fits your needs:

  1. Click New Report
  2. Select Start from Scratch
  3. Choose your data source
  4. Build filters and columns manually

Tips

  1. Browse first - Check templates before building from scratch
  2. Customize freely - Templates are starting points, not constraints
  3. Save variations - Create multiple reports from one template
  4. Check filters - Templates may have date filters that need updating
