Revenue Settings

Configure how revenue is categorized and tracked in your organization.

Payment Methods

Payment methods define how a donation or payment was made. Common examples include:

  • Cash - Physical currency
  • Check - Paper checks
  • Credit Card - Online or in-person card payments
  • ACH/Bank Transfer - Direct bank transfers
  • Wire Transfer - Wire payments
  • Stock - Stock donations
  • In-Kind - Non-monetary gifts

Managing Payment Methods

  1. Go to Revenue > Settings > General
  2. Under Revenue Payment Methods, add or edit methods
  3. Drag to reorder the list
  4. Each method can have an optional value for reporting

Payment methods appear when creating or editing revenue records.

Payment Channels

Payment channels define where or how the transaction was received. Common examples include:

  • Online - Website donations
  • In Person - Events, office visits
  • Mail - Mailed checks
  • Phone - Phone-based donations
  • Mobile - Mobile app donations

Managing Payment Channels

  1. Go to Revenue > Settings > General
  2. Under Revenue Payment Channels, add or edit channels
  3. Drag to reorder the list
  4. Each channel can have an optional value for reporting

Payment channels help track the source of donations for analysis.
