Giving Management

The Member Portal allows donors to manage their recurring donations and pledges without contacting your organization.

Accessing Giving Management

  1. Log in to the Member Portal
  2. Navigate to My Account
  3. Under Global Activity, click:
    • Recurring Profiles for subscription donations
    • Pledges for installment pledges

Note: Email verification is required to access giving management.

Recurring Profiles

Viewing Recurring Donations

See all your active recurring donations:

  • Organization name
  • Donation amount
  • Frequency (monthly, quarterly, annual)
  • Status (active, past due, cancelled)
  • Next charge date

Managing a Recurring Profile

Click on a profile to:

Update Donation Amount

  1. Click Edit Amount
  2. Enter new monthly amount
  3. Save changes

The new amount applies to the next scheduled charge.

Update Payment Method

  1. Click Update Payment
  2. Choose payment type:
    • Credit/debit card
    • ACH bank transfer (US only)
    • Apple Pay / Google Pay
  3. Enter new payment details
  4. Save

Update Donor Information

Scroll down to update:

  • Display name
  • Anonymous status
  • Postal address

Cancel Subscription

  1. Click Suspend or Cancel
  2. Confirm cancellation

Past donations remain in the system. No future charges will occur.

Recurring Profile Status

StatusDescription
ActiveSubscription is processing normally
Past DueRecent payment failed, will retry
CancelledSubscription has been stopped

Pledges

Viewing Pledges

See all your active pledges:

  • Organization name
  • Total pledge amount
  • Amount paid vs. remaining
  • Installment schedule
  • Status

Managing a Pledge

Click on a pledge to view details and make changes.

View Installment Schedule

See all scheduled payments:

  • Payment dates
  • Amounts
  • Status (paid, unpaid, overdue)

Make a Payment

For unpaid installments:

  1. Select the installment
  2. Click Pay Now
  3. Complete payment

Update Payment Method

  1. Click Update Payment
  2. Enter new payment details
  3. Save

The new payment method applies to future installments.

Cancel Pledge

  1. Click Cancel Pledge
  2. Confirm cancellation

Completed payments remain recorded. Future installments are cancelled.

Pledge Status

StatusDescription
ActivePledge is in progress
CompletedAll installments paid
CancelledPledge was cancelled
Past DueOne or more installments overdue

Payment Methods

The portal supports multiple payment options:

ACH Bank TransferUS bank accounts only, lower fees

Google PayOn supported Android devices

Failed Payments

When a payment fails:

  1. You receive an email notification with a portal link
  2. Log in to update your payment method
  3. The system automatically retries the charge

Common Failure Reasons

  • Expired card
  • Insufficient funds
  • Card reported lost/stolen
  • Bank declined transaction

Troubleshooting

Portal links expire after a period. To get a new link:

Can't Access Giving Section

You must verify your email to access recurring profiles and pledges:

  1. Check your email for the verification link
  2. Click to verify your account
  3. Return to the portal

Payment Update Not Working

  1. Verify your payment details are correct
  2. Try a different payment method
  3. Contact your bank if issues persist
  4. Reach out to the organization for assistance
